How would you make Alien tv show? Would it work?

Just do it the same way TWD does it. You can even make the characters a little smarter since Aliens are more dangerous than zombies, so you don't need to dumb people down to create dangerous situations. Season 1 can be people stranded on some xeno-infested planet, Season 2 can be them bringing some Xenos back with them to civilization.

Likely not possible, but if you had to try something it would probably be something like this. A drama\thriller sort of atmosphere on a spaceship, where we are give an entire set of plots,characters and motivations for a group of colonists. Subplots should start to development during the first season, jealous lovers,serial killers, corrupt coporate representatives, etc. before the alien is introduced. The xenomorph is introduced late in the season, and only obliquely at that, to add to these already existing plots not become the focus. Over time, the initial alien is killed, and their involvement in the plot is increased as the second and third season moves on

id like a series where convicts are sent to infected planets/ships to clear out infestations, any that survive get parole, none do, each season sees another group formed with the military commanders being the only constant from each series

Take the premise of "Alien: Isolation" and pump up the palace intrigue.

Unknown to them, the station is close to a covert Weyland-Yutani facility experimenting with Xenomorphs (using animals like bulls as hosts). Periodically, one of these new models is unleashed for "testing" on the station. Damn company.

Because the station cast are actually competent, the enhanced Xenomorphs get good fights.

I like this idea, but it may have too big a budget for a television series, even if it's less CG and more practical effects. If it's just CG it'll look like shit and big budget CGI series haven't been tried out since Terra Nova. I like the idea of experiments being conducted with Xenomorphs. I loved the Alien story mode of the recent AVP game, easily my favorite story from the single player campaign(the only mode you should play)

Though, cutting down budget you can have episodes with no Xenos, but instead a rogue android, or some military robots go haywire and think the crew is their enemy. Hell or even have an obsolete station with the old androids from Isolation.
