Pretty sure it has to do with the fact that most new "fans" of the show haven't actually watched season 2. It's a shame that so many idiots perpetuate the idea that its bad and that you should just skip through it.

The only bad parts of Season 2 are everything involving James and maybe the Nadine stuff, which is at least still entertaining.

Also I imagine a lot of people (including myself) being salty over Dale and Audrey not getting together, but that was always a one sided schoolgirl crush so its hard to say if anything should have actually come from that. Would probably have gone against Coop's character in some way.
