The entire last half of Lost was one giant slap in the face to everyone who stuck with it capped off by an ending that satisfied nobody.

I dont care if there are answers or not. I care if it isnt poorly written. A tv series can have no answers and still be extremely satisfying to watch. The ending of Lost is a masterclass in how not to end a show.

Fuck you I liked it. Admittedly the final seasons plot came out of nowhere and they spent too much time in the sideways but I still liked it

I used to be part of the lost internet defense force, but after a rewatch, seasons four and five are almost complete dogshit. Desmond, Sawyer, Ben and Juliet are the only salvageable parts. Lapidus would have been if they bothered to give him a character arc. Six is only slightly redeemable because of the "what-if" flash-sideways. Locke finally got the chance to be a good character.

Then they ended the whole show showing the crashed plane from s1, right after a plane had taken off from the island, making people think Lepenis and the gang also crashed and no one got away, making people think it was purgatory all along.

By that point the show was so irredeemable the only thing keeping it from being utter YA trash were those actors, aka the best of the ensemble. It has nothing to do with the quality of the writing. They could have read menus outloud and been just as entertaining.
