Also if you live in a decently metropolitan area there is tons of healthy fast food out there now. Chipotle is a perfect example. I live in Berkeley (close to San Fransisco) and we have tons of healthy fast food joints. I always go if I don't feel like cooking. I won't lie I eat shitty food from time to time but I'm so used to making healthier choices now I'd rather just go to a healthy place rather than a burger place and it doesn't effect my weight if I have a burger or pizza from time to time. I'll admit it was hard at first but over time you'll get used to opting for healthier food and it won't feel like a chore. But do it because you want to be healthy and do it out of self respect. It'll last longer.

When i started lifting this past january, i was finally honest with myself about what I was eating. "High protein" means jack shit. You need quality protein. Chicken, veggies, and rice is a meme for a reason. I stopped getting the majority of my protein from pizza, milk, and burgers and switched to chicken 4 times a week. Well, in all honesty, it's pretty goddamn easy to do if you have all day off work (when you're not doing a movie). A personal gym, a personal trainer, a personal cook. A bit of steroids (most actors juice a bit here and there to bulk up for roles).

I actually used to be more muscular then him.... but I was juicing, hitting the gym daily, and fanatical about my diet. I was way more stressed than I am now.

Knees are fucked how? Ground down carilage? Then you probably could do a lot of upper body shit but you may have to do it on machines rather than free weights. And I'm not certain if you could do cardio or not.

Also, take anti-inflammatories (4 or 5 ibuprofen actually have stronger anti-inflammatory properties than most prescriptions, the best thing in my experience). Also eat no sugar or simple carbs. They make inflamed joints much worse.

But even if your knees are fucked, YOU MUST continue to live a normal life with a normal amount of activity. People with ailments like that tend to lock up and get almost crippled if they live a sedentary life. It's why the fit old people walk miles every day (or do it on a treadmill), it keeps them from locking up and getting decrepit.

Skinny fats turn into real fats over time as the metabolism wears down, by 40 or sometimes even 30, your body will use maybe half the calories it did when you're teenage so unless you're getting cardio and exercise daily or making a point of eating super clean and light. You will get fat.

No one should ever be bragging that they're slim in their teenage years or 20s. That shit happens naturally if you aren't fucking mainlining junk food all day long. The real difficulty is keeping fit as you're approaching middle age. If you're living sanely you should be slim as a teenager.

I bet, in hindsight, I was eating 4000+ calories a day as a teenager. I was a slim guy, but I did get a lot of activity. Fat teens are going to be morbidly obese adults riding cripple carts in 10 years.
