R1>TFA for me. I liked that things were not so black and white when it came to the rebellion and it's moral code, that some of them also didn't support the final attack right away and had to be shown that there were those among them who would give up everything for just a chance at getting the death star plans. I don't think it is a perfect film but it's dam good.
