Was it kino?
Saw it in theatres but I'm disappointed that I lost my autograph card.

It made over 400 million $ while production cost was around 5 million.
It literally humiliated Hollywood jews.

>Doesn't understand the difference between ticket gross and merch
Unironically yes.
>>82928276
Not that it justifies his statement but for any evaluation of a successful anime merch is always taken into consideration.
It's how /a/ and other weeb sites measure success, it doesn't translate well into western success I know.
Sequel when? That ending was unsatisfying as fuck
>>82928810
There literally can't be any more sequels. The ending specifically states that Homura set up a selfish scenario where for a little while Madoka forgets she was god.
A sequel would just be Madoka remembering she was god, then getting angry and obliterating Homu. Also don't know how you found the ending bad, I thought it ended the trilogy nicely.

It shits all over the original anime's ending. And while it's presented that Homura's world is "ideal", There are some pretty clear indications that it's not
Coobie did nothing wrong, he just wanted to stop entropy.

It's supposed to be different from the ending of the anime, that's the point. It's supposed to explore what would happen if Homura was to get her way.
The scenario she created wasn't ideal in any way at all, the whole point was that she was being incredibly selfish and was trying to relieve her initial days with Madoka for a few more months at the most. We even see in the first day of Homura's world that Madoka is already remembering things that Homura doesn't want her to.
For reference the writers at Shaft and Urobuchi love to make side projects that explore different scenarios within the Madoka universe. They've released several different mangas that have some twist on the original storyline..
I wonder if Shinbo gets tired of doing nothing but meguca and Monogatari, or if the piles of money they print are enough to keep him invested.
