Tense, paranoid thriller with a lot of subtle setup and explosive payoff.

Generally great performances all around, good-looking visuals and a very classy score.

Elements of humor that were never overbearing or clashing with the overall tone.

An interesting message behind it all, it's not pro- or anti- anything really. Just food for thought.

It's not an amazing or perfect movie but it's far from bad.

Well, for one thing - which should be considered pretty important by todays standards - it was original. It wouldnt be a stretch to say that production companies may take a leap of faith more often now with original content because of this. Or, we have years of copycat films to look forward to. Either way, better than a fuck ton of capeshits and Fast and Furious and Star Wars films for ever and ever.

Watched it the other night.

It's a good, fun, horror movie. But 99%? Feel like it's score is being overblown because politics.

And all I could think about during the last 10 or so minutes was how crazy a black audience would be reacting.

I found it to be a really good movie with a rather refreshing story even though I feel like it is a rather delicate story for the american market since it could lead to blacks whining against whites like they always do

the characters were solid, the main was solid in his thinking and wanting to get the fuck out of there later on. loved how he decided to kill the family and take the car to drive away. comedic elements were also on the spot

LOVED how it wasn't a "modern" horror film to the extent that they didn't use jump scares and monsters to build suspense. the story and the acting did that by itself and that's what I liked about it
