Amazon Prime for kino
Hulu for movies
Netflix for flicks
>>
Amazon has less stuff but it's all pretty good. The main draw of Amazon Prime is other benefits like free two day shipping, the ebooks, and 20% off new video games. Netflix has some decent original content but it's filled with shit and them dropping the ratings system is a way to hide that. Hulu is pretty much the most basic of basic cable packages with DVR functionality but you can't skip the adds.

>>
>>82851818
A couple of years ago I'd said Netflix.
But somehow their library is becoming smaller and their originals are becoming more unwatchable with every new season.
I'm seriously thinking of unsubscribing and investing the same money to get a seedbox instead.
>>
Hulu kinda sucks since Criterion bailed on em. Some decent TV, but nothing really worth sticking around for.
>>
>>82851818

If I had to go by how much I actually use them, Hulu, then Netflix, and then Prime in a distant third. Prime really needs to overhaul their user interface. Having each season of a show be its own listing is ridiculous.
>>
>>82853088
>Having each season of a show be its own listing is ridiculous.
Yeah, that's really shitty.
>>
Prime in the UK is fucking garbage. You have to pay for anything decent, all the 'free' stuff is either old, z-list TV movies, or dogshit documentaries about alien abductions.

Real barrel-scraper of a service.
>>
Currently netflix is the clear winner. Amazon has so much fucking capital running through that company, and such an intense desire to expand, it's hard not to imagine them taking the crown in a few years.
>>
vhs
>>
>>82851818
Choices aside, Prime has a far better video player the Netflix. Somehow I can easily get 1080p on my dogshit internet whenever I use it.

In my experience what you'll find on Prime tends to be higher quality than Netflix, but, Netflix has some stuff that's essentially must-watch.

Both, or neither.

(Prime pays for itself though if you order things regularly due to the shipping cost reduction.)
>>
I can't get Amazon Prime or Hulu in my country, so Netflix.
>>
>>82851818

Torrents.

Paid streaming is the pleb filter. True patricians accept only physical media.

The biggest factor for me is the movie content, because I don't care about shows. Amazon actually produces legitimately great films like Manchester by the Sea and The Lost City of Z. With Netflix, I can recall Beasts of No Nation, but the rest is trash.
>>
>>82854247
>Manchester by the Sea
it wasn't produced by amazon dipshit, they picked it up for distribution after it got awards
>>
>>82851818
For streaming movies? Netflix+Amazon Prime as they tend to have movies Netflix doesn't both for free or rental.
For TV shows? Netflix+Hulu
As an overall service? I guess Prime if you're counting everything outside of just video streaming. Hell video streaming isn't even why I got Prime it was just a bonus.
>>
>>82854387
>Hell video streaming isn't even why I got Prime it was just a bonus.
This. If you're getting Prime for the video streaming you should really reevaluate your purchase, its an extremely underdeveloped aspect of the subscription as of right now and should not be bought for it.

Does Hulu get shows at release time? I saw it includes Showtime and want to know if I will be able to watch the new Twin Peaks immediately on it. Will Showtime through Amazon?

Amazon has more movies, better movies, and access to the old HBO library. It has other great shows too, classics like Batman: the Animated Series, PBS documentaries, BBC shows. It's the clear winner for everything but original series.
>>
>>82853088
I hate that got rid of the mobile app version of Prime Video. So now if you want to watch on a tablet or something, you have to use the regular Amazon app and get to the video section. It's clunky and annoying. I don't see why they couldn't just have kept it a separate thing.

Netflix, but there's basically no reason to not have amazon prime for other shit. Piracy is the real winner though

I think he meant why not stream it in putlocker or a similar site.

It's the quality, streams are 720p at best, if you want good quality for a big monitor or TV you need to get a phat torrent file.
>>
Honestly? Torrent foreva. Why? Because I used to pay for Netflix (when it became available in my country) and enjoyed some of their exclusive and coolest shows like Better Call Saul or Strangest Things, and i subscribed just to watch MY FUCKING SHOW AS LONG AS I WANTED, WHATEVER EPISODE OR SEASON I WANTED.
But suddenly, for no reason, they decided to upload just ONE FUCKING EPISODE PER WEEK.
Well, sorry Netflix, but I'm not paying you any shit anymore.
Qbittorent, man. That's the best deal. Plus is for free.
>>
Plex

I feel like Netflix must have lost half its library at this point and replaced it with their own shitty shows and flicks out of which maybe 3 or 4 are worth watching. Meanwhile on several occasions I've had a movie on my list for a couple of weeks and by the time I decided to watch it it was gone from the library.

The dream world where streaming is more convenient than pirating so people stop pirating is gone because Hollywood jews just couldn't stand Netflix taking a cut. Now I don't even bother checking if Netflix has a movie because 99% of the times they wont have it and suggest a bunch of crap instead.

Also, no 4K streaming on non-Microsoft Edge browsers and 720p limit on Linux. What the fuck?
>>
>>82858597
there just isn't a competitive streaming service that advertises itself as having 3 hours worth of content so what the fuck are you saying? whats the patrician streaming service that has not a lot of content you retard?

>>
>>82857484

>Better selection
>Better quality
>More choice when it comes to formats, player customization, subs, etc.
>Don't have to visit sketchy sites to get them

The only reason to stream is pure fucking laziness.
>>
>>82851818
Hulu is terrible for movies, it's mobile app sucks but is awesome for tv, especially if you don't watch cable, it's also got a shit load of old anime

Netflix is getting worse every day, they remove movies all the time without notice and replace them with documentaries, pretentious original content and foreign language programming, it's good if you want to try something new and 4k HDR content.

Amazon Prime haven't tried it, now that they got a monthly billing option and video only I might give it a shot. how is their music steaming? and does it have a good selection of Horror movies.
>>
>>82854278
fuck you nigger
>>
>>82860557
Netflix can only get worse, because there are tons of new services being released and even cable channels and companies are releasing their own streaming sites, so they are taking them down from Netflix.
>>
I use filmstruck since I got caught torrenting too many times.

Filmstruck is the only one a patrician should be using.
>>
>>82861539
Same case with Hulu and Amazon.
>>
>>82860557

which streaming service has the greatest library of movies?

it seems like all of them are putting most of their emphasis on tv shows or making their own tv shows but I much prefer looking for good movies that I haven't seen yet from the past 45 years.

also a bonus if they have a good foreign library such as foreign horror, smut and thriller movies.
