I watch both so don't confuse critical thinking with DC fanboys. I was in threads myself complaining about the whole comedy route they were taking and how the CGI was really lackluster. It's as if literally every single proper complaint is instantly blamed on people who hate Marvel movies. I love phase 1 and think the new movies are all catered to the masses while giving up on actual quality. Must say I liked Guardians 2 even though I hated that almost 80% of the dialogue consisted of jokes

I've actually been thinking about this, /tv/ doesn't really have it's "-core" like for example /mu/ does. There are no movies that basically everyone loves, and barely any series either. I suppose LotR is almost up there, but not even close to what Animal Collective and Neutral Milk Hotel is for /mu/.
