Theres a few other things being pulled from other things as well.

New Super Pred is basically a slightly adjusted ripoff of the Super Pred clan from Predators, and the Preds working with humans shit is just ripping off various AVP comics where Preds and Marines have had to join up against other preds and xenos.

Never been a comic about someone cloning/creating a pred but theres been plenty involving Aliens and one or two about scientists studying captured Preds in giant escape proof enclosures

A: Unable to communicate in any meaningful way.
B: Completely hostile to all other forms of life.

Whereas humans:

The main issue is scale.

Some guys with guns fighting a predator works, because guys want to live and the predator wants to skin a challenging opponent for fun.

But when you scale things up you get issues like humans getting predator tech which changes everything. Or predator diplomats/game wardens dealing with "wildlife" relations given a large space faring culture can't all hunt one planet without wiping it out.

As bad as it sounds I could see the predators actually covertly instigating wars so we train more military for them to hunt, which gets complicated in so many ways. As it would be like us have weapons deals with wild deer, it just gets weird.

Or you know, actually make the movie about where the flint lock pistol came, given that story is already done and just needs a cast.

The only thing that pulls them together is an alien outbreak, as the implications are dooms day level, which really should just be nuked from orbit given you crossed the Godzilla threshold.
