Question for 20-year-olds of /tv/: did you grow up moreso with Millennial shows like "Samurai Jack", "Yu Yu Hakusho", "Malcolm in the Middle", "Rocket Power", "The Weekenders", and "Recess"? Or Gen Z shows like "Hannah Montana", "iCarly", "Chowder", "Total Drama Island", and "Flapjack'?
>>
>>82816884
Millennial stuff, it stayed around for a while and there were re runs, also the gen z stuff was shit
>>
>>82816884
Of all those shows, I only know of Malcolm and Recess.
>>
>>82816884

Samurai Jack and Recess were kino, I remember Rocket Power but only vaguely. Total Drama Island likewise made me laugh and was enjoyable.
>>
>>82817073

No DBZ, no Gundam, no Yu yu hakusho?
>>
>>82816884
I'm 19 almost 20 and both

basically the later part of the millenial shows and the early parts of the gen Z shows
>>
>>82816884
I'd say the former if you were an only child, the latter if you grew up with a younger sibling. By the time the Gen Z shows came out, I only turned on the TV to watch baseball games or Adult Swim, but I was still exposed to iCarly and company from spending time with my sister.

definitely malcolm in the middle and power rangers, and power rangers dino thunder, spd and reruns for older seasons. I personally never watched any hannah montana tier nick-shows because at that point i had already discovered the internet and the last time i used the TV was in 2009, since then i pirated everything and watched things like the x-files instead of traditional kids-shows

'96 (like me) are probably the last millenials, maybe 97' but in high school there was a great cultural difference between my age group and 98-99s, they watched different shows and they had mobile phones since the first grade and smartphones in elementary school.

In Britain generally we didn't have much tv, weirdly enough the poorer families on council estates often had Sky when more middle class families didn't since it was either a knock off box they used or they just spent more on tv being welfare scroungers. Most tv was Saturday morning and usually 80s reruns like xmen, spiderman, heman and yugioh.
