The problem with American Christian movies is that Americans think of everything like it's business, religion included. As such, religious movie isn't meant to be meaningful, it's meant to get you into being Christian. For all intended purposes they're trying to create an environment for Christian version of "telejew" concept. As such, the typical American obsession about sports, teenage drama and child actors is so often present in those.
