I feel another reboot incoming

What is it about this movie that underwhelms me so? Is it it the bland art direction? The uninspired (seen) actions sequences? The unconvincing and not at all menacing villain? The subpar marketing?

I am fully aware I'm not the demo, that this is for kids, but I don't even think it's a particularly good kids trailer.

TASM was sooo bad and so obviously trying to copy that Marvel formula for cash monee that they might as well've just given it to Marvel, and you know well Sinister Six was another GoTG cash in like suicie squa. They gave Pete's very own signature line to Tony Stark.

They gave the nonchalant, self-deprecating, absurdist line he tosses out there as his secondary "mask" to the world to Tony Fucking Stark.

They gave the line that defines the way his Uncle's wisdom descends into his daily life and career as a hero to Tony. Fucking. Stark.

This movie could be great(it won't be). It could be the Second Coming of Raimi, emerging from the Holy of Holies to disseminate the gospel of "capekino" to we the hungry, huddled masses, and it would not change the fact that they gave the summation of Pete's entire approach to heroism to TONY. MOTHERFUCKING. FATHER-RAPING. STARK.

Fuck this movie, fuck Disney, fuck Marvel for selling out cheap, and fuck Sony for ever letting it come to this.

Clone Saga is true patrician KINO of spidey books. It's only because Marvel got cold feet and went back on it after 2 a half years, disregarded former plot points and brought back Peter as the original that people look down upon it. It was the last instance of a comic move with some balls where they tried to make things stick.

Ben and Kaine are great characters and there are tons of fantastic stories in the 3 or so years of the actual Clone Saga.

Unfortunately Holland is talking about NuClone Saga and Ultimate Clone Saga which is pretty shit.

In a part of the "Spider-Island" event Peter finally gets invited to the Friday Poker Night with Wolverine, Thing and other heroes for the first time because they all know he has lost his spider-sense. The person who invites him says they've never allowed precogs and telepaths into their games.
