I like books but they're strictly something one does when they're on the toilet and that's it. Just like I wouldn't enjoy a movie if I was on the toilet, I wouldn't enjoy a book unless I was on one.

Literature captures fucking thought. A very good author makes you feel like you're in someone else's head understanding their point-of-view from a first person perspective. Movies can't do that.

The problem is that if a book is shit then you just wasted a week of your life.

Thats why i dont read, i dont have the patience for shitty books.

I dont want to read 150 pages of a 250 book to realize im reading dog shit.

Also writers are arrogant assholes that over explain everything just to make stories extra longer without needing to be.
Some books are the equivalent of a 5 hour movie, when the movie could have just been 2 hours
