I'll still watch the movie in theaters is it's one I want to actually watch like Spider-Man Homecoming or Thor Ragnarok. Pretty sure most people will. This is only devastating is it's a shitty movie like Expendables 3.

Also, I don't know if it would work because I'm not a tech guy, but why do these companies keep finished products on computers that hackers can access? Why not just put it on a few computers with no internet access?

Then send out early screeners to all sorts of people. It would only take one of them to be an idiot (most computer users are) and the information can be obtained. Look at all of the damage that has been done in the last week by this ransomware, all because people don't regularly update their computers.
