So how long do we realistically have until a Hogwarts tv show?

i would watch it if it still stars Radcliffe and Watson pretending they're elementary schoolers.

I am guessing that it is already in the works but takes another two or three years to get anywhere

What would it be about, just a typical teen slice of life drama with added magic? Because I'm guessing Hogwarts for most of the time Harry Potter isn't there is just a boarding school with bored teenagers, dorm room wanking competitions, and the occasional covered up sexual assault from an older student or teacher on a first year.

Boarding school fiction is a genre in itself and the Place is a motherfucking deadtrap for starters; the faculty could be fleshed out as well for a good half of the main cast and there could be plenty storylines about mysterious pasts, conspiracies, quidditch bullshit, obscure spells and magic havoc in general, ghosts, monsters, inter-house politics, secrets left by previous promotions, shipping out of the ass, and Finn Wolfhard playing an exchange student.
