As much as I didn't like most of Jessica Jones, it has the most realistic portrayal of a lesbo relationship I've ever seen in media.

Kind of seems like Widow is about to pull a season 1 Quinn. Her whole empire is falling, everyone is betraying her as she becomes more insane, and the season will end with her being assumed dead.

I don't even care about the fights. It's too obvious what happens and they're just not as good as s1.

This was the first episode of this entire season that really felt "right" to me, like the show was being what I wanted it to be. I'd even argue the Widow circlejerkery all season was worth the build-up to characters finally putting her to task and the show finally acknowledging she's not super kung fu Jesus Bernie Sanders. Like for a while there I felt like the writers were playing it completely straight with her Mary Sue shit and it was really annoying me. The past two episodes had more butterfly deaths than the entire series. Shit, last week's episode alone probably held that honor by itself.

There's guns outside of the Badlands, we've seen people wielding them, but not using them, earlier in the season, but inside the Badlands they are forbidden.

There's a lot of lore we don't know about the world yet, it's set in the American midwest / South (pic related) and the apocalypse happened decades, if not centuries ago. The story itself is based on Journey to the West, but with a lot of plot / character changes for a different setting. My guess is that the Badlands is some sort of containment zone for all of the violent types to keep them out of normal society in whatever civilization exists outside the Badlands.

well it's pretty weak, we know next to nothing about the lore outside of the Badlands aside from what we've seen with Baije / Sonny's adventures outside, and there's a lot of "bad" raider types and general scum outside the badlands too. I want to know more about the city in the book / compass though, I hope the show continues with the world building and lore, that's what I'm most interested in atm because post-post apocalypse isn't something we get to see often.

To be honest the Widow's intentions never seemed pure to me. In fact I'd say she was a better character in S1 when her motivations were very ambiguous and her moralistic pretenses could very clearly and seriously be argued to be exactly that. Her character suffered through the Daenerys treatment and now that that she's shed the savior complex she's arguably as interesting as she's ever been all season.
