I just finished watching all three seasons of this kino for the first time and now I'm sad. It's rare when a tv show or movie has so many different characters that all feel very distinct and like real people rather than just characters on a screen. The only other example I can think of is Mad Men. Can you guys recommend me another show like this please?
Also post who you consider is the best character in Deadwood.
I just finished rewatching it a few days ago, felt the same way since few shows match up. I'd say Sopranos if you haven't seen it already.
also best character (other than Al) is Doc

Doc was my favorite. I wish I was as good a man as he.

Who would win?
Guys, GUYS. Powers Boothe (Cy Tolliver) JUST died like four hours ago.

Not cool to have a Deadwood thread when the lead actor just died and there's about to be a sticky.

Rome
Rome and Deadwood are like my all time favorite shows. I like Rome more, but Deadwood has more interesting and unique characters.
RIP Sty Tolliver.
