First season was pretty good. The whole abortion and pregnancy thing was pretty obvious, but hey.. Gervais is not as smart as he likes to pretend he is, and it shows.

Plus Pilkington was an important asset to the show.. Shame he didn't want to do a second season

Very uncomfortable for me to watch. I was a Gervais fan for years, still like the stuff he's done for the most part, but this went too far. He went from the ultimate cynic to trying to melt our hearts with his portrayal of a 'mental'. He was brave to make the show cos it's dark and nobody wants to confront death, but I felt manipulated by it.

Funny. Wasn't as good without Pilkington though.
