Isn't it obvious that we are meant to find sympathy for these characters because they are white? Krazy 8/Tuco/Gus Fring
Why don't we primarily have sympathy for these characters? Yet we have sympathy for
Walter White/Saul Goodman/Mike

Nah. You can feel somehow sympathetic for Gus at some point. He has a form of self discipline, that Walter doesn't have.
I find it more difficult to feel sympathy for Mike in Breaking bad. In Better Call Saul, you understand him a bit more.
