Remember, Moff recently said he wasn't going to go all indulgent for the regeneration in DWM, and that sometimes the Doctor loses: sometimes it's just a normal episode where things go wrong and he dies.

So I'm guessing the blindness is going to trigger the regeneration, but it will be put off til Xmas, like Tennant, but longer.

Fuck me that was good, not Mummy or Flatline good, but nearly there. If the Grand Moff had made it darker like Mathieson had wanted, this could be one of my fave episodes of NuWho; 9/10

Not bad, but nothing really outstanding with the VNA level dark cliffhanger at the end.

Characters are barely sketched, the history and background behind the Chasm Forge and crew was really underdeveloped.
It's better than the rest of the series, maybe the Pilot is still slightly better, but no way it's a masterpiece.

Missy is the only person in the vault. When the Doctor first enters, he looks around at the inside of the vault and says "have you been redecorating? I don't like it" but it's the best delivery of that line ever because of his accent.

No, they killed them because they became inefficient. They said they were just doing their worst month ever in terms of drilling raw material. They became inefficient so they had to die because they were a waste of the oxygen their employer was paying for them. The Doctor turns this on its head when he threatens to blow up the station, if they die the whole thing blows up and their death will end up costing more than them being alive.

The suits couldn't do anything except repair a few things and transport crates. Piloting a drill is another story.
