Really liked these images yes
recommend me good horror B-movies
>>82712502
The People Under the Stairs might be Wes Craven's most underrated movie.
I saw The Void last night.
Holy Shit I enjoyed that. I really love creepy Lovecraftian shit though.

any good horror kinos i should be watching on this chilly saturday afternoon?
>>82712573
Looks pretty cool man, added to watchlist
>>82712830
Yeah it's really really good.
It's a hybrid of "The Thing", "HellRaiser" and it plays just like a Lovecraft storyline. It's creepy as fuck too. All around an excellent movie. A tiny bit weak in the plot...but overall worth seeing. I might watch it again today.
>>82712862
The fly
Hellraiser
Re-animator
The burning
If you haven't seen them yet

been watching/rewatching a lot of Argento recently. Deep Red and Suspiria are probably his best. Tenebre and Inferno are great too. I watched the concluding chapter to the Suspiria/Inferno trilogy Mother of Tears, but it was awful.
>>82712862
Ill recommend The Blackcoat's Daughter. Its a bit slow at times, but the story is intriguing and the atmosphere is great.
I watched Afflicted last night. I really liked it. It was like Chronicle but with vampirism instead of super powers
>>82712995
Just saw a pic of this and it looked like suspiria
What's the general consensus on Green Inferno here. I thought it was shit and so did most critics by the look it, but I got the feeling it's one of those people love.
Hey we have a /tv/ horror discord channel of anyone is interested https://discord.gg/T6HmS
>>82713049
its very similar to Suspiria in style and overall feel, definitely worth a watch.
>>82713040
wtf these 2 waifus did a movie together and i never heard about it?
is this good? thinking about watching it for the first time
saw House for the first time recently. pretty enjoyable 80s haunted house movie
>>82713152
Yesss it is very good i absolutely loved it. Not much gore or so but really good psychological horror movie.
>>82713083
It got compared mostly to Cannibal Holocaust but it's actually almost a total remake of Cannibal Ferox.
>>82712995
I've never seen this but holy shit, I think I'm in love
Watched this again for the first time in a while. Still holds up quite well with a good story and script. Sound effects are phenomenal.
Leslie Vernon is fucking great
>>82713180
I like all 4 of them, but part 4 (I think) literally has just a 5 min nothing scene in a House and the rest is outdoors.
>>82713194
you'll have a new Waifu after watching it, shes hot as fuck in it.
Just put on Patrick. Watched the others over the last two days.
Both were pretty good, but I liked Raisins more.
>>82712862

Allow me to offer you a second opinion. The Void pays heavy tribute to Lovecraft without any tension building, I went back and checked and it takes 33 minutes before the characters are already fighting a monster. The movie moves at a breakneck pace, much to it's detriment in my opinion.
Visuals and effects are very well done.
The Void gets recommended in every fucking horror thread now.
But it's honestly not that good aside from some interesting moments.
It gets weighed down by some generic monster design, bland performances and a dull villain.
From Beyond did it first and better.

I didn't like it at all, and I love The Thing. Everybody talked and moved so slowly, in order to fill the 90minute runtime. I liked the creatures, but goddamn it dragged so slow. You could easily tell there wasn't enough content.

Having watched this and "I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives Inside The House" I'd say Oz Perkins is very good at building an atmosphere, both his films are very effective slowburns.

The problem (the main one, as there are a lot of problems) with The Void is that they didn't understand what kind of film they should be making. It should have been a siege movie about a bunch of CHARACTERS (because holy shit this movie needed some) fending off a bunch of spooky hooded cultists, that gradually became the creature feature that it was.
They blew their load way too early, within 15 minutes of the film there's already a scene of somebody becoming possessed (for no reason that is ever explained) and turning into a monster.
Is this any good?
It's been on my backlog since this guy recommended it to me years ago, but since his tastes in horror are questionable at best, I'm not sure if I should bother.
>>82718194

An American Werewolf in London is fantastic. Probably my favourite werewolf film
>>82716957
Nice. Watch Suspiria and Deep Red if you haven't yet.
People warned me to ignore the sequels, but I enjoyed this a lot.
Except for Ghost, the movie was very entertaining and Emily Perkins continues to be weirdly cute.

anyone remembers the name of a B-class horror from 80s or 90s about a pilot who lands on some prison colony, is infected with something and starts changing into a monster while murdering people, and some redhead doctor falls in love with him?

also a prison break plot by the inmates who forced the main character to pilot the escape spaceship for them

Both are bad movies, but are entertaining. Strength relies in the based Mosquito Man. The final scene of the second movie was genuinely satisfying, got me hyped as fuck.
The music during the climax was great too. Based Charlie Clouser never fails to deliver.

I just finished this and I'm somewhat confused. At what point didShipkaget possessed? I would assume it was when you saw her contort in the bedroom but her first appearance ("You'll miss my performance") felt like by that point she was already gone.
Also, is there some deeper meaning to her running into the father or was it just a really contrived coincidence to help show the 'twist'?

The Wicker Man was great. Maybe I'm overrating it due to the fact that I went into the movie with little expectations, but it was a wild ride and I'd say it's probably among my favorite movies.

Easily of the best atmospheric horrors, in my opinion.

Just finished the Void
I was ready to come here and say the naysayers were wrong and it was a great movie, but then the 3rd act happened
It's interesting that a movie based around cosmic horror had all of it's weakest points tied to it. If it had been a simple creature horror it could have been pretty good
The monsters in the basement scene was good, with all the 'failures' - but then from there, it just seemed to make shoddy attempts at Cosmic Horror and failed utterly. The final 'beast' was incredibly underwhelming, and besides showing the 'monster' in cosmic horror kinda defeats the purpose.
The long exposition by mr big bad and the the journey through the portal onto the otherside were unnecessary and pointless
It had some really nice imagery and some good moments but the 3rd act killed it for me, 6/10
>that movie you watched as a kid and completely forgot about
