Since we are getting a D&D movie soon, what are the chances of BG getting a adaptation?

You're a queer fellow
Did it actually have a compelling story?
I tried to play baldurs gate and icewind Dale when I was seven years old, but I was seven years old. I also read the first three drizzt books so I'm mildly familiar with Faerun and tenlakes.

Did it actually have a compelling story?
nope

Not really, I mean the actual plot of the second one is the bad guy wants revenge on his ex because she broke up with him for trying to use their sacred tree to get god powers

Why would anyone want to make a movie about a video game that came out 20 years ago that only has a cult following today? Chances are pretty damn low

Well no one gave a shit about teenage ninja turtles either and they made a movie about it, so why not.
I hope 0 because its the most overrated fucking thing in DnD.

Not one that can be experienced through the medium of film.

The amount of people who like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles far outnumbers the amount of people who have even heard of Baldur's Gate.

It wasn't a terrible one or anything, but nothing about it really stands out. The first game was basically just highlander with orcs and shit with a trade conspiracy tied to it, but as for the second game I think people confuse a really good voice actor for an interesting villain and put it on the pedestal. It's a fun tabletop game adaption to a video game, but I don't think it really has much merit as a movie's plot (just like pretty much every other video game)
