Why do you keep spelling kino like that
I hated that this scene was spoiled for me before seeing it but somehow knowing it was coming made it even worse. Really masterful control of pacing.
It symbolizes that the supernatural don't make no damn sense and it doesn't have to.
A return to the womb. Thanatos, birth in reverse.

Sometimes it's coitus, the primal scene.
But mostly, you're right.
Too bad shitheads need to spoil this scene - a legit film scare.

Something about this scene is absolute blood run cold terror for me, I had nightmares as a kid of seigneur a strange white masked figure in the background of my everyday life and they would often be the figure walking quickly between buildings and shit but never obvious and I'd wake up terrified never knowing what it was. This scene was like seeing those nightmares in reality and it spooks me so much to this day.

Brad Dourif was unironically oscar worthy in this movie, like seriously he's incredible.
