Alien Isolation scared me yeah. It's not a passive experience like watching a movie (no that isn't a turn off your brain joke). Alien Covenant I have no plans watching. I don't see how it will spook me after watching countless other Alien films. No plans to see the new Predator either.

I feel basically the same way. There just comes a time to let things lay to rest and stop trying to "re-invent" it. The Xenomorph can not be frightening any more because of how exposed its been over the years and remakes. The original Alien film is a classic no doubt, and is still watchable but not as a horror/thriller any more. The Xeno is an amazing design, that got its due time. Now, it's just a novelty and it doesn't deserve that.
