Since this is a Peaks and Lynch thread, thoughts on Lynch's most underrated movie? I'm almost positive it is Inland Empire, it's actually an interesting piece but I can see why it was critically panned on opening I find it much better than Mulholland Drive, while interesting it just didn't click with me the way Empire did.

Think I'll give Lost Highway a watch tomorrow considering I've been listening to a lot of David Foster Wallace interviews lately and his talk about meeting Lynch while he was directing that was pretty awesome.

I think this is really understated. I went into it expecting just random scenes and it's not that at all even though it is hard to understand. If you take the movie literally (as in, it's not all in Nikki's head) it's actors being sucked into a cursed story while otherworldly beings use it as an opportunity to kill the person who cursed it, the phantom.
