QOTD: what are some scenes from films that spooked you good
Name a flick
remember I love you, unless you are the dwgriffithfag
https://letterboxd.com/machill54/
Haven't logged anything since the weekend because rewatching all the Lynch-directed Twin Peaks episodes
I think Lynch stuff would probably make up 3-4 of the top 5 spookiest individual scenes for me that I've seen, he's unrivalled in the unsettling imo

Kid needs some sex appeal so he reads a book about how to get it and then tries to bang some girls
>>82651870
Hey give me one of your rare movies
I sincerely hope that none of you were entertaining the thought that you are better than me. Just in case, I'm here to correct you. I'm corporeal perfection. Feast your eyes as this is the closest you will come in contact with a god.
>>82654052
Which one you want?
>>82654169
Do you have any with Victorian era vampires?
reminder r/TrueFilm > /lbg/
>>82654431
jej nice meme, now what?
>>82654431
>summary of No Country For Old Men
>copy and paste of a quote by Lincoln
>self-righteous clown claiming he's the only person in the world to "get" that Scream and Starship Troopers are satire
This confirms that r/truefilmers are retards pretending to be smart and /lbg/ is full of geniuses pretending to be retarded.
>>82654431
D-delete this.

I don't think so.

This
Only known one.
Never seen another. Super old release from VCI, just a piece of paper glued to the box.
Paid way more than I'd like to say to get it.
>>82656709
Impressive. Do you ever make digital transfers?
>>82645417
Agreed about Lynch and the scares. I am also getting excited about the 2017 series.
>>82648414
It's fun. /Themissingpatient and I get talking for hours about upcoming movies and tangents.

>>82656785
I don't, sorry!
>>82656709
Have you got this one?
>>82657065
Why not? If you watch the tapes they will degrade. Digitizing them will make them last much longer.
>>82657663
I do not, never even heard of that label before. Is it an American release?
I don't own a computer is one good reason, and anyway, tape degradation happens only after tons of watches. I don't have that much time to watch the same movie over and over. They should be fine for my lifetime. Tapes from the early 80's still play perfectly.

Could have been yours, mman! Or maybe you aren't equipped to play PAL videos?
>>82658228
Nah, I got a region free player. Have tapes from all over the world. Here's two of the only three secams I have though.

two similar films
The scene in the graveyard and the final scene of Noroi
https://youtu.be/7ebVPMMjdko
The final scene in Actually happened! Most terrifying Psychic Phenomena. Psychic Research Team Report. Relived edition.
https://youtu.be/5frkgw44IAo
both are essential horror viewing in my opinion
Recently watched the 1924 version of the theif of Bagdad, the 1940 version and the adventures of Prince achmed.
Prince achmed is worth a watch if you're into animation at all. Wiki claims its the earliest surviving animated feature. It was definitely unique in its art style but otherwise just meh.
Both the 1924 and the 1940 versions of theif of Bagdad are great, but I'd give thr edge to the 1924 version. It had the better aesthetics and felt more ethereal.
Thief of Bagdad sent me in the direction of more Douglass fairbanks in robin hood. Enjoyable but it had severe pacing issues.
