47 of the colonists die but that's not important none of the characters are colonists, just crew members. James Franco dies literally at the very beginning, he doesn't even have a speaking role.

Every character other than Danny McBride's and the main girl get killed, but obviously the last two die because David pretended to be Walter and got on the ship with them then revealed to the main girl that he wasn't Walter. So yeah presumably they don't make it. I reckon the best death is the one with the alien coming out of the guy's back, that was the first death.

They killed the Xenomorph by forcing it into a construction thing which I can't remember the name of for some reason. It's the thing that you use to pick up heavy stuff, and it looks like a giant hand with metal fingers. Anyway yeah it gets blown up while trapped inside that.

It's not a xenomorph, it's just the "first" of it's kind. It starts off by attacking the same way the neomorphs do, like a flailing screeching animal, and ends up stalking and using it's maw like a "real" xenomorph.
This spaz forgot to tell you that the Neomorphs burst out fully formed, and thus the first xenomorph does too. When the neomorphs do it, it's horrifying, when the xenomorph does it, we see it in an incredibly intimate shot between David and the Xenomorph, it's showing how proud he is of his creation. It doesn't imitate jesus on the cross or stand in the hole for funsies, it's doing the same thing the neomorph did earlier, staring at David because he isn't "meat" and it has no understanding of him or reason to kill. David sees it as trust and worship.

There's storyboard art for a sex scene in this type of observation bubble looking out into the stars. You're ignoring the other engineers come to investigate. It would be a huge step in the evolution of the Alien and how they take traits from from their host species. The protomorphs just look like white spikey goblins that have nothing to do the host.

Except that we've seen the ones in Prometheus and they didn't make NEOMORPHS. The Neomorphs came from humans. They're feral, much more aggressive and can still communicate and have interest in doing so. There are only two xenomorphs in this film and they both come from humans, the fact that they ALSO take traits from their hosts is something that we only know from the sequels. It's not something David or the Engineers knew.

You can have a whole "Alien" ecosystem build up as a result of the goo. It can just wipe out things that come into direct contact with it instantly, as it does at the start of Prometheus when that one guy drinks what we think is the goo and apparently creates all life on earth. Maybe such a high concentration of it results in something akin to that, but then as there's still so much around it continues to mutate so we get to the point of an alien like creature. Or at least the beginnings of it. It doesn't even need to have happened so close to the events after Prometheus, it could have evolved over hundreds or thousands of years if they decided to write it that way, because they could have literally made anything up rather than David did it, but for some reason Ridley seems to have a massive boner over space Jesus and creators and creations turning on their creators.
