Anyway, Community ended two years ago and I still kinda miss it. Even when you consider that a third of it's seasons are bad/lower quality, there's still nothing quite like it.
From time to time I listen to "Greendale is Where I Belong" and I get almost nostalgic about it, it's super gay and shit, but it gets me in this almost bittersweet mood. The song perfectly encapsulates the overral feeling of Community.

Anything season 2 is the best episode. Early-Britta and Pierce best characters.

At the start of the series Annie's thing was that she was just the smart and young one. Britta started out as just a really nice person, she wasn't very smart or funny, but she genuinely cared about people and wanted to help them no matter the cost (pretty much the opposite of Jeff).

Then at some point Britta's 'nice person' thing got completely taken over by Annie (also her relationship with Jeff) and Britta was left characterless.

This was 100% at least two, probably 4 different shots edited together.

That's why Britta's right forearm appears slightly too long and bent - they cut off her hand, added in another one grabbing Annie's brastrap and hid the join in Annie's hand.The girls also appear lit from different directions - Annie from our left, Britta from our right. Even with two different lights trained on them, the shadow in Annie's ass would be eliminated by the light on Britta's face/chest. That's two.

Check out Britta's ribs in relation to her thighs/where her hips would be. A normal human can't bend like that. In general you only roll when there is a significant chance to fail. if Pierce was in combat and trying it yeah I'd make him roll but if he was under no pressure then no, not really. I wouldn't roll to see if he cut his jugular every time he shaves either. In order for him to get hurt in that situation he'd have to roll a natural 1 on d20 and forcing players to test for this kind of shit makes them feel like you're fishing for the dice gods to fuck them and generally being petty. DM autism is boundless but is effectively limited by what players will put up with. Shit like making players role play out the particulars of having sex with your female npcs for example is a good way to lose a lot of players.
Abed was fairly believable for the most part as a DM running a one shot game. Most DMs don't kill players as often since it leaves them bored for the rest of the session but it's not beyond plausibility. Ultimately pen and paper rpgs are only constrained by the group playing them. Tone, conduct and adherence to realism vary wildly depending on the people you play with. If you're interested go lurk /tg/ for stories. If you want horror stories look for That Guy or That GM threads.

That seems like an area you could have fun with. Toss in a luck or charisma check.

1, 2 and about half of 3 were goat. 5 and 6 had some great episodes too. I'd like to forget about season 4 completely, and rmc, despite being a good episode on it's own, really started the shows decline.

Glad to catch a Community thread where more than 1 or 2 people agree that S6 was good. That's not always the case. I liked it more and more with every viewing. I'd still take season 2 over it, but to be honest, I'd choose Elroy and Frankie over Pierce and Shirley without hesitation, and Troy's absence wasn't so glaring to me by that point. If the over-the-topness of it is a dealbreaker, I definitely get that, but it didn't bother me because the sense of humor was solid. It was a fun season. Some of my favorite bits and scenes are in that one.

Still pretty much my favorite sitcom, can't stand most others, except maybe 30Rock. Gotta agree with this thread that the later, more concept- and outlandish episodes were very hit and miss at times, but there still isn't another sitcom that delivers originality like this. It's a highly formulaic genre, true, but still, most sitcoms get really boring fast, community doesn't.

I loved the first 3 seasons, I stopped watching halfway through the 4th season after an especially cringey episode I don't remember.

Rewatching it all the way through this time, this show is so comfy and funny.

There's nothing wrong with Season 3, it's great. Everything being over the top is fine because it was fun and made me laugh.
