This is the weirdest show ever, I have to agree I love it but it has literally little to no buzzworthy moments. Really loving the take on The Riddler though, he searched all over Gotham for a adversary and felt the pain over losing Penguin, when he finally met Lucius Fox he never wanted to let him go.

This show has already strayed from the comics many times over. They need to just let Bruce and Gordon become a team.

I feel like they had an original plan that has been thrown out, and that now they have switched gears to prep us for a season or two of training and setting the stage, and then a season of Batman, or a following show with Batman.

It was the same for the CW and Supergirl. Originally, seemingly because of the DCEU, Superman was only allowed to make a vague appearance at best. Flash seemed to be setting up the death of Barry for Nu52 black Wally to take over.

Then, BvS didn't do quite as well as hoped, and there was some shakeup, and boom. Superman actually cast and appears in Supergirl. Suddenly, having TV Flash and DCEU Flash isn't going to be confusing anymore. And, Bruce goes from being a supporting character to having very nearly half of each episode dedicated to his suddenly sped up path to the Batcowl.

Aging up Ivy, this episode with Selina, meeting who we assume to be Al Gul, Gordon back with the GCPD yet again, ect. It was all a change of direction and tone.

A welcome one. Kid is growing up fast, and give it a year or two and some body building, and he might actually look right in the Batman suit, if we go tacticool detective rather than Batfleck.

After thinking about it, the show does fix a problem with the Batman story. It doesn't make sense for Bruce to have his parents killed at age ~10 then do nothing for 15 years.

Geoff Johns already did that with Batman: Earth One. At least from what I recall. I only read the first graphic novel of that series. The Alfred in it is a gruff special forces badass and he gives Batman all the physical training.
