The new blade runner looks like liquid dogshit because its all bland cg and digital color correction over boring flat sets with horrible light direction. No highlights, no spectaculars, no hard shadows, just bland soup

But it does, it reacts perfectly in line with Deckard. The twist is that Deckard uploaded a copy of his consciousness into the dog and they act as one, proving him to be a replicant. When Deckard inevitably dies later in the film, the dog will guide Gosling, as it is simply another form of Deckard's conscious and knows the next step of the plan.

My guess is rather than being a complete replica of Deckard (they look fuck all alike). Goose is simply a replicant and the false memories implanted in him are based on Deckard's life
