Kino enlightenment. Before I saw Stalker, I was a Tarantino, Refn and Boyle loving pleb. Only since have I elevated myself to a level where I can truly consider myself a film connoisseur

literally me
I just want to walk around in Chernobyl without restrictions until I die. Although I want a gasmask for the radiation and rifle because there are boars and probably mutants too

I really don't think I understand it. The character interactions mean nothing, the only time the movie shines is when a character has a monologue while sitting on a pile of trash. My favorite of these monologues is when the stalker talks about how being sensitive is a good thing and being hard and closed is being miserable. Visually, it looks good, but I think people overestimate how much meaning is actually in this film.
a way to cure my insomnia

Is this the most overrated film ever created? It's basically a boring adventure story about 3 guys going into a dangerous environment and once every 10 minutes they say something profound.
