He was clearly an insecure person, and stand-up is a very vulnerable thing to do. He snapped and attacked the guy, and in his frustrated state he went for the kill and called him a 'nigger'. The audience member could have been white, black, asian or a fucking alien ... he still would have tried to hurt them as much as he could in that moment. It had nothing really to do with race. It was just a fucked up social situation.
