Probably the best action scifi ever made. Aliens is fantastic but a little to long, Blade Runner is too kino and cerebral, The Thing and Alien to close to actual horror, Star Wars is too schlocky and kid friendly, Star Trek is not actions enough, Robocop is immense but looks cheap now and was a bit on the nose and obvious in it political message, Starship Troopers is fucking great but to much of a parody and Total Recall just wasn't fun enough.

Predator had the perfect mix of action, humour, a GREAT alien design, it still looks fresh due to its setting and the pacing and script were right as my 12 year old sister asshole.

North changes to the movie itself. The problem is that they applied an absolutely abhorrent smoothing filter over the whole thing. It removes every trace of grain and you can no longer tell it was shot on film. Arnold Schwarzenegger looks like a wax sculpture.

Not terrible but nothing exceptional. Literal "Middle of the Road." The Yakuza vs Predator was the only thing you could say was well done.

As much as I fucking love Predator, it would be a better film if the opening scene was cut out.

Though that's honestly the only real flaw I can find in it.
