That's true. I've been reading a bit on the Rape of Nanking and I was fascinated by the fact that the majority of the perpetrators were regular young adults just like me. Like I'm sure that once the war is over (and granted their survived until 1945), a good portion of them went on their life and lived like decent people, ignoring the fact that they raped some Chinese girl during the war. Depending on the context, there isn't a guarantee I wouldn't have been one of those guys.

It's kind of subjective, but I'd say Apocalypto beats the dog shit out of Fury Road, DH3, Aliens, The Rock, RLR, and the last four of those are legitimately good. I don't have a good recollection of Bittersweet Life and The Raid movies, been a while since I've seen them. Fifth Element is a beast though.

Fury Road falls well short of Apocalypto because it feels like a string of stunts, with no real characters or stories you'd care about, whereas you're very invested in Jaguar Paw's plight as you see his village decimated, and his wife struggling to survive. The filmmakers managed to make a decently compelling story and build a more immersive, interesting world as well. A vastly superior film to MM FR I believe.
