Hecklers are annoying as fuck and can easily ruin a show. Seasoned standup comedians can usually handle them pretty well. It's pretty clear that Michael Richards is somewhat nuts, and his standup chops were probably below par or extremely rusty at the very least. Someone was being a jackass and he just completely lost his shit and started hurling the most obscene insults at them that he could think of. That's really all that happened, I don't think he's a KKK member or anything.
