The Thing (2011) is okay. The two biggest problems with it are it takes way too much from Carpenter's film and the studio covered almost every practical effect in shit tier CGI. If you're curious watch it once. The Fog (1980) is one of Carpenter's greatest horror films. It oozes atmosphere.
