It's really quite simple, Ripley was to be the primary beneficiary of a lawsuit filed by Daniels' estate against Weyland-Yutani because of long overdue hazard pay bonuses owed to Daniels according to the colonization agreements.

In order to rectify this bonus situation they assigned Ripley to the route that would bring her in contact with the beacon on LV-426, and the rest is history.

Just some final things for the night

-Every crew member except Daniels dies
- Tennessee (Danny Mcbride) has the best and saddest death. He was also the standout role
-James franco was okay but nothing special
-If you liked David then you'll like him in this as well
