Also seconding Gomorra, never seen the movie but the series is incredible, the atmosphere, the setting, the soundtrack, the characters, such a nice change seeing great production quality in a european show. Naples, Berlin beautifully filmed
You shouldn't need to be spoonfed this, they are both quality shows and there are numerous posts in the archive I'm sure of the same thread and these being recommended
If you ever get round to finishing them because your time is obviously very scarce and you have a demanding schedule you might aswell watch Love/Hate, for Adrian Gillian and the rest of the bunch. Amusing enough first season, its barely watchable though but the closest thing Ireland has to a respectable crime drama

seconding the anons in this thread. Romanzo Criminale and Gomorrah are both awesome. I can hardly believe Italy was able to produce something like these two shows, but there it is. I find the first season of Gomorra to be simply fucking amazing, followed by Romanzo Criminale S1 and S2. Gomorra S2 was a bit underwhelming

Watched both those italian shows. Awesome. Any other cool euro crime thrillers?

yeah Genny was definitely more interesting in S2. It's not that I disliked it, mind you, but for example I was expecting Salvatore Conte to play a much bigger role, so you can see where that 'disappointing' is coming from. I still enjoyed it a lot.

Romanzo Criminale is awesome. It has a very different feel from Gomorra, it's less 'raw' and gritty in a way, but the actors are incredibly good (Dandi and Libanese are just amazing) with some rare exceptions and the story is engaging. Also the characters will most likely grow on you more than Gomorra's
