It being the worst is suggestive, but the rest of that is blatantly false. If anything, it's one of the more straight forward and self contained films in the MCU. There isn't any blatant sequel bait in the film until after the end credits roll.

It's only real issues, imo, is the pacing in the second act. The film would flow far better if they cut out a good chunk of the stuff involving the Ravagers/Taserface.

The first half is "star lord chats with his dad everyone else just kinda does stuff, everyone tells jokes. The second half is Starlords dad is evil and has a plot to do... something for some reason and has to be stopped. Rocket and Yondu and Groot get into hyjinks with the ravagers, everyone tells jokes. The characters pretty much come to the realization that Ego is up to no good through their own adventures.
There isn't a real unifying threat in the first half, because that was kind of the point, the group became fractured because they didn't have a common goal and because they were afraid Peter was going to quit the team.

Villain reveal is 'Martha' levels of bad and makes no sense other than they needed to make that turn quickly.

Reconciliation of some characters make almost no sense from everything leading up to that moment.

Last action sequence is just CG fighting CG in a situation that barely makes any sense where the heroes should really just be instantly killed.

While the movie is funny other times it is trying way to damn hard.

Still an entertaining movie though.Watch it once, enjoy yourself and never think about it again.

This is completely false and I didn't even think it was that great. It's still Marvel's best sequel after TWS, the plot is braindead easy to follow, and minus a couple of Nebula's lines and two mid-credits scenes completely its own beast.
