I remember watching it there with my cousins and there was a bunch of scenes I'd never seen before. The adoption subplot was much more fleshed out, a fair bit more footage of the Director, and an entire crew party sequence that was missing from the theatrical cut that took place before Directir meets Four Leaf on the beach and convinces him to make the movie gurrilla style.

Ive mentioned it here on /tv/ several times when this movie is discussed, but I think it was as stroke of genius so I have to share it:

I watched this movie on the premiere night, and I dont know if it was intentional from the producers, but the cinema where I watched Tropic Thunder went straight from trailers to the movie without interruption.

This meant that the fake movie commercials was shown right along the real trailers and commercials. It was a perfect switch so nobody knew that the commercials were fake.

It was bloody brilliant! It was golden just sitting there first being appalled by the booty sweat commercial and listening to everyone in the theater muttering the same.
And then the fake movie trailers. The theater was DEAD silent, you could hear a mouse taking a shit.
Nobody knew if they should laugh or take it serious.

It's experiences like this you cant get at home.
