i think they got some legitimate backlash. the newer seasons were so bad that my ultra normie friends who usually just eat up any form of media, whether good media or shit media, didnt like it. it wasnt just a fringe group of /tv/ autists hating on it, so the negative reception probably got their attention. season 11 still isnt as good as the early seasons but they definitely got back to the basics. its mostly just back to weed, booze, and swears

Jesus, if that's what they returned to then what the fuck was going on in the other seasons? I've seen up til season 5 and can't see how the show could diverge from that formula
