I think this would actually be good

season 2 is def not as bad as people would have you believe, some of the plotlines coulda been tighter and the resolution to the birdman killer was a bit lackluster but fuck me did i enjoy the bleak tone and atmosphere. i just think pizzolatto needed more time with the script. also having different directors each episode hurt it as some episodes felt underwhelming direction wise

I wanted to like Season 2. I really did. But it just isn't that good. I enjoyed it, there are parts in it that worked well and made it worth watching for me, it's not terrible or anything. But it has too many problems.

I was very much into season 1. I was enthralled about it, I wanted more, always more. I loved the way it all tied together.

Season 2 I had to force myself to get through. The acting was fine, the setting was great, but the story seemed so lack-luster that I just didn't get invested at all.
