What about the droid attack on the Wookies?

>we can't afford to lose it
What did Obi-wan mean by this? Kashyyyk is a fucking irrelevant pre-industrial forest shithole.

He meant that they can't afford to loose the extra ticket sales they'll get from putting Wookiees in the trailer
A droid attack on the Wookies can mean only one thing

The wookiee milk industry would collapse without a fresh supply of wookiees.
That could cause an economic meltdown.
This is explored in depth in B.Shjait's 6-part (canon) series, 'Star Wars; The Hunt for a new hope''

They need Kashyyk to get the galaxy WOOKIED
If you reply to this post you will have a heart attack.
>He's right, it's a system we can't afford to lose
>Think of all those porn companies that rely on wookie male actors
>Interspecies wookie porn is the flagship of the multitrillionaire adult enterntainment industry,
>I know some members of the counci don't like to see members of their species geting WOOKIED but we need the taxes to pay our clone army

Kashyyyk was smack-dab in the middle of the mid-rim, cleanly dividing some of the most important separatist strongholds from each other and connecting the core worlds of the Republic to allied systems in the outer rim. The separatists couldn't launch a viable assault on the core worlds with their fronts separated by the Kashyyyk system, so even though the planet is just a bunch of trees it was super-important for the Republic to hold if they wanted to keep most of the fighting contained to the outskirts instead of right in the middle of the most densely-populated planets. The real stupidity of this line isn't so much "why are the Wookies important" as "why the FUCK was holding the strategic chokepoint on which the defense of the Republic hinged such an afterthought".

An attack that got the entire fleet obliterated.
