both brother movies are great, albeit its not so much focused on oragnized crime, russian mafia stuff in itself but more about an ex-spetsnaz guy with a few friends who take on some gangsters/the mafia

the there is the iconic miniseries "brigada" or the english title "law of the lawless".
great stuff, though it might be hard to find the english version of it, so i guess youre stuck with subtitles

My respect for Viggo Mortensen as an actor and as a man was raised hugely by that physical, naked fight-to-the-death scene with no overtly gay stuff going on
