Did it? Maybe it didn't sell or get reviewed well, but most normal people I've seen say it's a pretty damn good movie. And I agree. I liked it, despite the feminist undertones.

movie started out alright but after furiosa was introduced everything fell apart. from that point on she was the focus of the story. reducing max to a fucking side character. there was no reason for his character to help those snowflakes.

I just checked The Numbers. Assuming film budget and ad budget are equal, for a total cost of 300 million, this movie made an overall net profit of 110 million from box office and video sales combined. Not sure how much it made from product tie-ins but since all I can think of that came out at that time was the Mad Max video game I'll assume it wasn't worth that much.

It got good reviews overall and it made money. You can say it "bombed" as much as you want, that won't make it true.

What am I not getting about this flick? It's a 90 minute car chase that got tired about 10 minutes in. Road Warrior was so much better.
