I would recomanded Dark city. Watch director´s cut. Then, Dust Devil. A litle bit slow but it adds to the feel of south Africkan endless desert. And Jacob´s Ladder as a last one. They all deal with "evil" manifested as an entity and have God Tier photography

I recommend people watch all of the Bond movies in chronological order, if you are a normie or a young adult without a lot of background in say 19th and 20th century history, the cold war, american and british attitudes, classic cars, these movies are a really fantastic newbie friendly guide to 50 years of human history which were without a doubt the coolest time to be alive for men. The next 50 seem to be predominately driven by women and for their pleasures, so retreating slightly into the past for visceral male chauvinism is a fun escape. And there wasn't the psychopathic blood spilling of it's modern day equivalents, which have normalized ultraviolence, various forms of cannibalism and torture porn and now apparently cuck themed interracial vore.

I could make further recommendations if you want, but are you more interested in the devil making an appearance and good cinematography?

or more interested in the swamp setting with creepy characters?

Ghost with Patrick Swayze if you never got around to seeing it. It'll definitely tickle that late 1980s New York rawness mixed with the supernatural you're looking for, even with all the romance. It's like Titanic, you've got your action and you've got your romance. Boom.

Never seen Live and Let Die cause Roger Moore era isn't my cup of tea, but will check it anyway.

Also, you got it right with The Ninth Gate, a movie that people criticize a lot, but for some reason I feel that it has a GOAT atmosphere and cinematography. If you know of more movies like this please I'm all ears.

Another ones which could satisfy you are In the Mouth of Madness and Lord Of Illusions. Naked Lunch, The Fly and Videodrome if you want Cronenberg stuff. I would give a shot Pandorum for Dennis Quaid character even though the movie is in space.
