Yesterday evening I watched Se7en for the first time. While I generally enjoyed it, I have one major problem with John Doe's plan and theme - Tracy's death.
Every earlier victim died because of their sins. Fat guy died, because his sin was gluttony, attorney died because of his greed and so on. However, Tracy died because of Doe's envy and Doe died because of Mills' wrath. Shouldn't Mills be killed then because of his wrath?
If I misinterpreted anything or you have any more fitting interpretations, feel free to correct me.

the first 6 sins involve victims and giving into the sin it that make sense. gluttony is obvious, it feels good.
envy is the worst sin becausr nobody enjoys having it. you dont give into envy because it feels good, you give into envy because it feels bad. the killer was envious of brad pitts life, and it is random, so he killed his wife

Two weeks off, with pay?
When Freeman's character agrees with the latter half of the Hemingway quote, what did he mean by it? Why did he think the world was worth fighting for when things only got progressively worse as the film went on? Simply realizing that he was still needed?
