Some parts of the soundtrack have a very distinct Andrei Rublev feeling to them and there are numerous visual nods to Tarkovsky films, especially Zerkalo and Solaris. Oshii himself admitted Tarks was a major influence in his early work, there's no "namedropping " in here you pretentious faggot.
