Have you tried his earlier work? When i first discovered him, I watched Melancholia and found it good but not fantastic, then I saw Dogville, Dancer In the dark and pleasantly surprised...I think his last films aren't as good as his first ones

I agree with this. I like his early movies but can't get into his recent ones. Too edgy for me
I think he's great and I don't understand the people who call him edgy, maybe they've only seen Anti Christ
He's great at building worlds. I was completely sucked in watching Dogville

Europa and Dogville have many similarities

I don't understand how anything in something like Melancholia can be called 'edgy' but you're agreeing in praise for a movie where a woman is a sex slave and gets Her revenge by killing everyone in town. Antichrist is literally a horror movie, it's edgy by default, but it isn't like any other horror movie around.
I mean, Nymphomaniac might be 'edgy' but it's about sex, the same reason Antichrist is 'edgy'

Isn't The Idiots edgy?
I love Melancholia and Antichrist. Other than that I find his movies interesting even if I don't enjoy them. The Idiots was one I thought was great first time round but went off on a second viewing years later. I reserve the right to change my opinion again in the future!
In short, I will always be excited to see his films regardless of their merits.

You're completely wrong; he's gotten better. Nymphomaniac and Antichrist are better than The Element of Crime and Epidemic.
